DAXTER'S STORY

This kitten is one of many animals that I've "rescued" over the years. I simply can't resist any stray that comes near my home.

Daxter arrived at my doorstep full of fleas, starving, dehydrated, and with a terrible case of worms. We believe an adult female cat that had been hanging around for a few weeks prior was probably his mom. Knowing that he was teetering on the brink of death, I took Daxter in and gave him food, water, and a nice soft blanket. It didn't take long before my kids named him!

My husband didn't need much convincing that this sweet kitten deserved some TLC from our veterinarian, Dr. Hines of Adams Marquette Veterinary Service in Oxford, WI. A few weeks later some nice young people answered our "Free Kitten" ad in the local paper and came to take him to his new home. Daxter is now living happily with his new owners in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.

By making a donation, you will help me pay for the veterinary care these animals need. And, hopefully my husband will stop telling me I shouldn't take in strays!!! I can't promise you that YOUR particular dollar will feed an animal in need, but I CAN promise that I will never give up hope for all the great creatures on earth that have come to depend on us foolish humans, only to be abused, abandoned, and misunderstood.
