The Cheap Website Builders website doesn't offer much in the way of solid information about their services or pricing. You can choose to "Order Your Website" by filling out their online form, or visit the "Contact Us" page to contact them for more info. I sent an email to Andy at andy@cheapwebsites123.com on 10/12/2008, and to date I have not received a response.
At the time of writing this review, seven samples appear in their portfolio. Two links appear to be dead (immunbooster123.com and safetyproducts123.com) and one link is for their own website at cheapwebsites123.com. It seems kind of silly to me that this company lists their own website in their portfolio. Of the four remaining portfolio samples, three of the websites have "Powered by Poracom" at the bottom of their Home pages. The last portfolio link is for -- believe it or not -- Poracom Company at poracom.net. The relationship between Cheap Website Builders and Poracom is unknown. A WHOIS search revealed different owner names for each, and Poracom is listed as being located in Nigeria while Cheap Website Builders is in Maryland. This leaves a big question in my mind. Are these companies related, and if not, why do websites in the Cheap Website Builders portfolio have the Poracom signature in the page footer?
A positive mark could possibly be give for the "Member Login" feature, however there's no indication anywhere of what can be accomplished through this member area. So that's also a big question mark.
To note, the "years in business" listed in this review is based on a WHOIS lookup of cheapwebsites123.com, and may not be accurate.
Overall, this is a web design company I would not recommend.
